Cosmic Equinox
When the Bauhaus Art School, active between 1919-1933, history is examined carefully, we see that the male-dominated school management underestimated the potential of female students and guided them to the field of weaving, assuming they could only succeed in crafts. These two successful and unforgettable women, Gunta Stölzl and Anni Albers, have worked side by side in both educational and professional life and improved their weaving skills on their own in different countries around the world. Thus, they have made Bauhaus history with their successful initiatives and works that combined industry, arts and crafts. 2019, the year we celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Bauhaus, has been declared they year of Göbeklitepe in our country.
This structure, taken in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2011, became a world heritage in 2018 and one of the most important touristic spots. This cosmic discovery, which fundamentally changes the history of humanity and bringing together the antique history and future, has inspired the main choices of color, form, pattern of the collection. The meaning gathered from the research done on the symbols in Göbeklitepe are blended with feminism, adding depth to the collection. The symbol, rebirth during the equinox, is used in the prints of the collection, symbolizing the equality of men and women, much like the equality of day and night, alluding to the belief that when the men and women are equal, balance will be achieved.

The collection Cosmic Equinox aims to allow us to experience of looking at Göbeklitepe, through the modern perspective of Gunta Stölzl and Anni Albers, by blending past and present as well as industry, art and crafts.
